Hi! I’m Zoe, and I compete in Swimming for Team Ontario. I first got involved through a parents’ program for people who have disabilities and have now been part of Special Olympics for 25 years.
Special Olympics has helped me live a healthy and active lifestyle and accomplish many different goals.
One of my proudest moments was making Team Canada for the Alpine Ski Team and coming home as a bronze medalist in GS. I have previously participated in 2010 Swimming, 2012 Alpine Skiing, and 2018 Swimming.
I help with Motionball events, 24-hour ski fundraising, and Torch Runs.
Being part of Team Ontario means representing my province means a lot to me, doing the sport I love — swimming — and making Team Ontario proud.
My advice? Achieve your goals, perform the best you can, meet new people, make friendships across Canada, and have fun in your sport of swimming.
