Hi! I’m Tessa, and I compete in Swimming for Team Ontario! I first got involved in soccer, and that started my Special Olympics journey 10 years ago.
Through Special Olympics, I’ve met new friends and coaches and improved my skills. One of my proudest moments was winning four medals at the Provincial Spring Games.
I work at Parks Canada in the summer as a Student Interpreter and stay active on the swim team and women’s soccer team.
Being part of Team Ontario is something I never thought would happen — and I’m so proud of it.
My advice? One small step to improve every day makes you stronger over time.
