Hi! I’m Daniel, and I compete in Swimming for Team Ontario! I first got involved after watching Special Olympics Games on TV — and I knew I wanted to be part of it. I’ve now been involved for 26 years.
Special Olympics has given me opportunities to travel and compete. One of my proudest moments was competing at the 2019 National Games in Antigonish, Nova Scotia.
I work at Sobeys looking after the front of the store with buggies and customer support.
Being chosen for Team Ontario makes me proud and shows that my hard work has paid off.
My advice? Train hard, have fun, and try to meet new friends.
