Hi! I’m Michael, and I compete in Swimming for Team Ontario. My parents signed me up, and I’ve now been part of Special Olympics for 21 years.
Special Olympics has helped me with my physical and mental health and allowed me to meet new people.
One of my proudest moments was being named Athlete of the Year and getting 2nd place at the 2025 Special Olympics Winter World Games for figure skating.
I have also been part of the 2024 National Winter Games and the 2025 Winter World Games for figure skating.
I have been active in the Special Olympics community for many years as an athlete.
Being part of Team Ontario is a huge honor.
My advice? Don’t stress out — just try your best and have fun.
