Hi! I’m Christopher, and I compete in Swimming for Team Ontario! I first got involved through my teacher at school, and I’ve now been part of Special Olympics for 34 years.
Special Olympics has allowed me to travel, meet new people, and compete internationally. I’ve won gold medals for Canada in Germany and Austria and have competed in Sudbury (Athletics), Prince Albert (Swimming), and Quebec.
I work as a dishwasher at Waldo-on-King and help with Torch Run events in London and Strathroy, as well as Polar Plunges.
Representing Ontario means I want to win gold for myself and my community.
My advice? Practice — I swim three times a week!
