Hi! I’m Gino, and I compete in Basketball for Team Ontario! I first got involved as a translator while helping someone sign up — and that led to 16 years with Special Olympics.
Before Special Olympics, my family felt very alone. Now, we’re part of something bigger. One of my proudest moments was winning our first gold medal at Provincials in 2008.
I own my own business selling and repairing small engines and stay active by serving on the Guelph Community Council.
Being part of Team Ontario means being part of something bigger than yourself.
My advice? Be kind. Be strong. Be humble — and have fun.
