Hi! I’m Stefanie, and I compete in Softball for Team Ontario! I first got involved through my parents, and I’ve been part of Special Olympics for 17 years.
The first time I tried Special Olympics, I felt so welcome. The coaches and athletes made me feel included — and they still do.
One of my proudest moments was when we won Provincials in Brantford, and a few days later my dad passed away.
Being part of Team Ontario and going to Medicine Hat is a life-long dream with my friends.
I stay active in my community through the food bank, fundraising, curling, bowling, and helping seniors.
My advice? Don’t be afraid to try new things and never give up. Keep going.
