Hi! I’m Peter, and I’m part of Team Ontario in Golf. I first got involved by taking my daughter to the practice range at a Special Olympics practice.
Special Olympics has given my daughter confidence not only in her golf abilities but also confidence in herself.
One of my proudest moments was when my daughter qualified for the Berlin World Games 2023 in Golf and competed against the best in the world. It was a fantastic experience and allowed her to grow as a person.
I work at Caldwell Banker Commercial Real Estate as a Realtor, focusing on purchase and sale of investment properties. I am also a Volunteer Coach at Special Olympics Hamilton Golf.
Being part of Team Ontario is another opportunity to meet new friends, be part of a close-knit team, and compete against the best Canada has to offer.
My advice?
Keep trying to do better each and every day. You are not competing against others — you are competing against yourself. Improve yourself every day. And remember to have fun and make friends along the way.
