Hi! I’m Lorinne, and I compete in Golf for Team Ontario. I started in Track and Field in Oakville when I was 25, and then started golfing when I was 40 in Florida. I’ve now been part of Special Olympics for 30 years.
Special Olympics has helped me make lots of friends and enjoy traveling to different places.
One of my proudest moments was winning gold at the Brantford Provincial Games.
I participated in Golf at the World Games in Los Angeles in 2015 and in Nationals in Calgary in 2024 for Floor Hockey.
Being part of Team Ontario means meeting and making new friends and competing as part of Team Ontario.
My advice? Keep your eye on the ball and enjoy yourself!
