Hi! I’m Karen, and I’m proud to be part of Team Ontario in Softball! I first got involved when my son was being teased in regular sports, and Special Olympics became a place where he — and our family — felt welcomed and supported.
Special Olympics has given me a completely different outlook, especially seeing athletes succeed and grow. I’m so proud of all of these athletes and excited to attend Nationals with them.
I work as a manager at Tim Hortons and stay active by volunteering, coaching, and supporting the program whenever needed.
My advice? Enjoy every moment. Have fun and make new friends!
