Hi! I’m Jocelyn, and I compete in Rhythmic Gymnastics for Team Ontario. My mom took me to my first gymnastics class, and I’ve now been part of Special Olympics for 12 years.
Special Olympics has helped me make friends — first meeting Brittany, Jessica, and Victoria, and becoming best friends afterwards.
One of my proudest moments was getting a gold medal at Provincials for rhythmic gymnastics in Level 1 floor routine.
I have been to Nationals before in Rhythmic Gymnastics in Antigonish.
I volunteer at Monsignor Phillip Coffey Elementary School with JK and SK students, and I stay active through soccer, basketball, baseball, rhythmic gymnastics, Mercury Dance Academy, and volunteering at school with my family.
Being part of Team Ontario is exciting — meeting new people and going to new places in the world.
My advice? Listen to what you’re told, use manners, be polite, and stay focused.
