Hi! I’m Jessica, and I compete in Athletics for Team Ontario! My mom found a program in our community after seeing it on TV, and that’s how my 29-year journey with Special Olympics began.
Special Olympics has helped me make friends and build confidence. One of my proudest moments was making Team Ontario for Athletics at the last National Games.
I’ve also competed at National Games in St. Albert, Alberta for Speed Skating and have participated in other National competitions as well.
I work as a bakery clerk at Metro and stay active by helping with fundraisers.
Being part of Team Ontario means I’m lucky enough to represent Ontario again.
My advice? Worry about what you can control — like your training — and give it your best.
