Hi! I’m Jackie, and I compete in Bocce for Team Ontario! I’ve been involved with Special Olympics for 13 years after first getting started thanks to my friend Rosie.
Special Olympics has helped me make more friends and grow my confidence. One of my proudest sport moments was winning gold in Brampton — that felt amazing! I’ve also competed at Nationals before in curling in Corner Brook, Newfoundland.
I work at McDonald’s on counter and drive-thru, and I stay active in my community by volunteering at Special Olympics events.
My advice? Just go out and do your best!
