Hi! I’m Alex, and I compete in Bocce for Team Ontario! I first got involved when my son Justin was 10 years old and there were limited opportunities — that’s how our Special Olympics journey began.
For 15 years, Special Olympics has helped shape my life. It has made me a better person and taught me perseverance. One of my proudest moments was seeing my son make it to the 2017 Provincial Games.
I work for the City of Vaughan as a Senior… and I stay active in my community by participating in York South Council meetings.
My advice? Be proud to be a Team Ontario Squad member — you’ve earned it!
