Hi! I’m Yanhong, and I compete in Rhythmic Gymnastics for Team Ontario! I first got involved in Grade 5 at Sacred Heart School, and I’ve now been part of Special Olympics for 20 years.
Special Olympics keeps me busy and active, and I’ve built many friendships along the way. One of my proudest moments was going to Thunder Bay for Nationals in Snowshoeing. I was also part of Team Ontario’s snowshoeing team in 2020.
I work three mornings a week at Sobeys in Amherstburg and help with fundraisers like the Torch Run and Polar Plunge.
I’m very proud of myself and excited to represent Team Ontario.
My advice? Do your best — and have fun!
