Hi! I’m James, and I compete in Bocce for Team Ontario! I first got involved doing bowling with my sister in Special Olympics, and I’ve now been part of the program for eight years.
Special Olympics has given me a place where I can compete with others and feel supported. One of my proudest moments was attending Provincial Games and being named to Team Ontario.
I work at a restaurant called The Mill in Tillsonburg and stay active by participating in Torch Runs and Special Olympics donut events.
Being part of Team Ontario means being a representative and role model for others.
My advice? Always keep yourself surrounded by people who support and encourage you.
