Hi! I’m Carly, and I compete in Bocce for Team Ontario! I first got involved because a friend was involved in bowling and encouraged me to join.
Special Olympics has allowed me to travel to new places and build friendships. I’ve competed at Nationals before in PEI in 2018 for 5-pin bowling.
One of my proudest achievements was winning the Principal’s Award in Grade 8 for outstanding involvement.
I help with promotional evenings and building partnerships in my community. Being selected for Team Ontario is a huge honour.
My advice? Enjoy yourself — don’t sweat the small stuff — and have fun!
