Hi! I’m Allyson, and I compete in Bocce for Team Ontario! I first joined a Special Olympics swimming program in Ottawa, and I’ve now been involved for 32 years.
Special Olympics has introduced me to so many incredible athletes and volunteers. One of my proudest achievements was winning gold in Bocce at the National Games in Sudbury in 1998.
I’ve worked at Metro bagging groceries and have served as an Athlete Representative for Arnprior.
Being part of Team Ontario makes me feel successful, proud, and very excited.
My advice? Know what you can control — and work hard at that.
