Hi! I’m Kyle, and I compete in Athletics for Team Ontario! I first got involved when my friend in high school was doing 5-pin bowling, and I decided to join too — that was 23 years ago.
Special Olympics has given me so many friends and incredible opportunities. One of my proudest moments was going to the National Games in London, Ontario for Track and Field.
I work as a cleaner at a machine shop called Barrie Welding and have spoken about Special Olympics at golf tournaments to help promote the program.
Being part of Team Ontario is very special to me.
My advice? Train hard and don’t miss practices — it makes all the difference.
